About this category

Protecting a critical facility: the layer model

At critical facilities a single product does not solve the problem, because risk is not spread evenly. An effective layout rests on layers: the perimeter boundary, its topping, controlled entry, internal separation and protection of individual equipment. Each layer answers a different scenario and can be introduced on its own.

The category covers higher-rigidity panel fencing, toppings with brackets, concertina and razor mesh, gates and entry airlocks together with blocking bollards, enclosures for switchgear, tanks and technical zones, cages for equipment and cabinets, and covers limiting risks from above on defined sections.

The protection level is set separately for each boundary section, because risk concentrates at rear boundaries, laydown areas and places with poor visibility. Works are phased so the facility keeps operating, and material documentation should be usable directly in the scope of works for a tender.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do we start?
With a map of risks and boundaries: what must be controlled, where risk concentrates and what the operator requires. The choice of layers follows from that.
Can a site be reinforced in stages?
Yes, and that is usually how it runs. It starts with the highest-risk stretches; further layers follow in later budgets.
Do you prepare tender documentation?
We hand over material schedules, product data sheets and section drawings that can be used directly in the scope of works.

We will set out the protection layers for your facility.

Send the run length, site conditions and deadline, and we will come back with a configuration and a quotation.
