About this category

Site enclosures: what the category contains

Inside the perimeter a site needs lighter enclosures that move with the work front. A steel barrier around two metres long is placed without fixing and coupled into runs; a plastic barrier weighs less and reads better visually, while closure units and cones shut off a route and mark the head of the works.

The category covers steel and PVC site barriers, temporary barriers coupled into runs, plastic road closure units, traffic cones, guarding for excavations and service openings, covers and dust nets, and temporary gates and doors set into the enclosure line.

Selection turns on the expected duration, the volume of pedestrian traffic and the required visibility. Signal colours are used where the enclosure sits next to live traffic, and stability comes from ballast and couplers. Marking of the enclosure must be consistent with the traffic management plan for the works.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Steel or PVC barriers?
Steel for longer use and heavier loading. PVC where visibility, low weight and fast repositioning matter.
Do the elements connect to the temporary fencing?
Yes, couplers and clamps are shared across the system, so internal barriers and the perimeter use one accessory set.
Do you supply signage?
We supply barrier elements, closure units and cones. The traffic management design and full signage stay with the contractor, but we advise on selection.

We will configure the enclosures for your build phase.

Send the run length, site conditions and deadline, and we will come back with a configuration and a quotation.
