Physical covers: extent, structure, limitations

A physical anti-drone layer is a net spanned on a supporting structure over the protected point. Three things decide the solution: the size of the area, the wind and snow loads on the structure, and service access to the covered equipment. Cover is always designed for a defined point rather than for the whole plant.

Does this guarantee no drone reaches the site?
No. No physical system guarantees complete neutralisation and we do not claim otherwise. It is one protection layer; effectiveness depends on configuration, installation conditions and procedures.
How does it differ from detection systems?
Detection finds and reports; the physical layer limits consequences. They work best together because they answer different parts of the same risk.
Can a whole plant be covered?
Rarely with any economic sense. Cover goes over the points whose damage actually stops operations, and the extent is set in the analysis.
