Frequently asked questions

Do you supply single products, or only complete systems?
Both. Many clients order individual product lines — fence panels, barriers, razor wire — while others ask us to configure a complete safety-zone system. The approach depends on the project; quotations are prepared per requirement.
Can you deliver internationally?
Yes. Zonto International coordinates supply and logistics across markets. Delivery terms, lead times and transport arrangements are confirmed per project in the quotation.
Do you install, or only supply?
Supply is the core service. Installation can be arranged or supported depending on the project location and scope — indicate the requirement in your enquiry and we will confirm what is possible.
How do I know which protection level my site needs?
Start with the zone: what must be controlled, who must be kept out or guided, and for how long. Our team assesses this with you during the enquiry — protection levels are configured per project rather than sold as fixed tiers.
Can anti-drone systems guarantee that no drone enters the site?
No physical system guarantees complete drone neutralisation, and we do not claim otherwise. Physical anti-drone solutions are one layer of a broader site-protection strategy; effectiveness depends on configuration, installation conditions, threat characteristics and operational procedures.

Glossary of perimeter security terms

Ten core terms of perimeter protection, each with its own anchor you can link to.

Perimeter protection
Perimeter protection is the combination of physical barriers, gates and detection systems that secures the boundary of a site against intrusion. It is the first layer of security for infrastructure, industry and construction.
Temporary fencing
Temporary fencing is a mobile barrier system of panels set in concrete or plastic blocks, installed without foundations on construction sites and at events. It is redeployed from site to site as projects move.
Anti-climb mesh
Anti-climb mesh is welded fencing with apertures too small for a foothold or hand grip, most commonly the 358 type (76.2 × 12.7 mm). It resists climbing and cutting with hand tools.
Concertina (razor) wire
Concertina wire is a coiled barrier of razor tape wound on a high-tensile steel core, deployed on fence tops, walls or as stand-alone coils. It deters and delays intrusion at high-security perimeters.
Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM)
Hostile Vehicle Mitigation covers barriers, bollards and gates engineered to stop a vehicle used as a weapon or a ram. HVM products are specified through crash-test standards such as PAS 68 and IWA 14.
Crash-rated barrier
A crash-rated barrier is a vehicle barrier whose stopping performance has been physically crash-tested to a standard such as PAS 68, IWA 14-1 or ASTM F2656. The rating states the vehicle mass, impact speed and penetration distance.
Crowd control barrier
A crowd control barrier is a light, interlocking steel barrier used to guide pedestrians and separate zones at events and in public spaces. Panels hook together into continuous lines and are moved by hand.
Access control gate
An access control gate is the controlled opening in a perimeter: a swing or sliding gate or a turnstile, often integrated with readers, intercoms and vehicle barriers. It decides who and what enters the protected zone.
Road barrier
A road barrier is a modular element that separates traffic from work zones or protects people from vehicles, from water-fillable plastic units to concrete and steel systems. Selection depends on the speed zone and the required containment level.
Anti-drone protection
Anti-drone protection extends perimeter security into the airspace: detection, tracking and neutralisation of unmanned aircraft over a protected site. It complements physical fencing at critical infrastructure.
